The Store X The Vinyl Factory is currently holding a multi-disciplinary exhibition and installations with various creatives. ‘Ruin’ the new and atmospheric joint collaborative installation by Virgil Abloh and designer Ben Kelly is now being exhibited at Store Studios, London. The exhibition is put together by pieces of abandoned nightclubs and conventional discos with a 1960’s funk, rhythm and blues vibe.
The collaboration worked hand in hand since Ben Kelly is named as UK’s most influential designers, having designed Manchester’s nightclub the Hacienda, and Virgil Abloh being the owner of OFF-White, with his history in architectural design, have managed to turn back the clock and reproduce using pieces of classic dance music.
Other installations being exhibited include Ryoji Ikeda, Jeremy Shaw, and Arthur Jafa, currently being held at the iconic Brutalist building, which is a space for creative industries to display their abilities and collaborate.
The event is free and open to the public, ‘Ruin’ is open from Tuesday – Saturday 12pm-7pm, and Sundays 12pm-6pm at Store Studios, 180 The Strand, London, WC2R 1EA, and is nearby the entrance on Surrey Street.
